When we discovered the Internet over fifteen years ago, we understood that an evolving revolution was upon us. This revolution ignited our passion to communicate, collaborate, create, and ultimately, help make the world a better place to live and work in. With that passion under our wings, we started a long and valuable journey. We joined digital agencies, worked with companies on the forefront of technology, developed innovative websites, won awards, increased profits, discovered Social Media, and helped the bottom line of businesses.

In the end, we were disappointed.

We started on this journey with the goal to improve the way we work and live. We found that ultimately all the new forms of collaboration and communication didn’t change the core of businesses and brands. Sure, adding another social layer was fairly successful for some. While some businesses were too focused on transferring the old push model into the new marketing reality, others utilized new technologies to further optimize processes for operational excellence, leaving out the human factor. We don’t believe current models effectively stimulate the endless potential of human emotion and creativity, thereby limiting the potential of new technologies.

And thus, BatesHook was born.

We propose a new model: Human Business Design. A model based in the belief that all human interactions inside and outside of your organization matter now. The way human beings are motivated to connect and realize value has fundamentally changed. Businesses that develop a collaborative ecosystem that includes all stakeholders and understand their motivation to create and realize value is the only way to succeed in the future.
